Creating a project for RT application
Eclipse is a very powerful IDE which is adopted in NRMKPlatform. Unlike MS Visual Studio's project wizard for easy creation of custom projects Eclipse can easily create a project (of the same project setting) by simply copying-and-pasting a template project. NRMKPlatform provides a dozens of prebuilt projects for this purpose. The simplest project is XenomaiTest which creates a single Xenomai RT thread.
Default Xenomai template project
How to create a project from a template project
- Select XenomaiTest project and press CTRL+C and CTRL+V. You can set the project name, e.g. HelloSTEP, then the new project is created in the default location (under the workspace folder)
Copying a Xenomai template project
- Rename the main file periodic.cpp to a desired name, e.g. HelloSTEP.cpp.

- First, you have to choose the project build configuration, whether it is release or debug.
Setting the project build configuration
